FAQs

What makes Miae Melts so amazing and different from any other wax melt business?
- Jelly wax has a higher burn point which allows the melts to last up to twice as long as other types of wax melts.
- Jelly melts can be easily re-stored back in their pottles/trays.
- Their jelly-like form makes them incredibly easy to use. Unlike other types of melts, there's no waiting for your wax to slightly melt, digging, scraping or soaking up your wax to change fragrances over or dispose of. Simply wait for our jelly melts to cool and peel out!
- Being easy to peel out of their dish allows you to flip them in between use. This allows the fragrance to disperse more evenly, so you can get the most out of them.
- They are clear allowing us to have fun creating beautiful looking melts!

What are jelly melts actually made from?
Gel wax (jelly wax) is made from mineral oil and polymer resin.
Fragrance, colourants and additions are then included to give different scents and appearances.

Are they vegan?
Yes! Vegan & cruelty-free!

How much do I burn at a time?
However much you want! 1-2 cubes of the 6-pack clamshell tray are usually a good start.

How are Miae Melts produced?
They are produced in small handmade batches right here from my home in Hamilton. This is why there may be some slight differences in colour and/or variation of additions used.

What do I do after I've melted some Miae Melts?
Once your melt has cooled you can either peel it out of its dish and pop it back in its original container or you can simply flip it over and melt it all over again!

Why do you recommend flipping the melt between uses?
This is to help the fragrance burn off evenly across the melt and will help make your melt's scent last longer.

What type of burner should I use?
We recommend using a tealight candle burner with our Miae Melts. Jelly melts have a higher burn point than other types of wax melts so some electric warmers work fine while others don't get hot enough to fully melt them.

Do you sell the burners too?
We sure do! We are excited that some of our burners are brought to you in partnership with the Trade Aid organisation!

There is glitter/decorations left in my burner after I have peeled my jelly melt out, how do I clean my burner?
Just use a couple of sprays of multipurpose cleaner and wipe out with paper towels.
